The IC698CRE040 PASystems RX7i is a CPU programmed and configured to perform control in real time of machines, processes, and material handling sytems. I/O communication and smart option module communication occurs over a rack-mounted backplane via VME64 Standard format. An embedded Ethernet port (or serial port) allows the CPU to communicate with the programmer and HMI devices.

This CPU is equipped with an 1800MHz Pentium-M microprocessor, 64 MB of battery-packed user memory, and 64 MB of non-volatile user flash for various types of user memory.
