A field mock-up test was successfully performed on an 18 in (457 mm) diameter repair sleeve containing a 0.24 in (6 mm) through-wall defect at 104 bar monitored for 24 hours. Subsequently, a testing project involving several such defects was carried out on a 6 in (152 mm) diameter repair vessel, which withstood static and cyclic pressures up to 90 bar for 60 days. No signs of leaking or epoxy disbonding occurred in the sleeve.
