兩種方法各有千秋,其制約因素是成本和、廉價催化劑、酶和合適微生物的開發(fā)等關鍵技術?偠灾,生物法具有選擇性、活性好、反應條件溫和等優(yōu)點,但原料利用率低、反應時間長、產物濃度低及酶、微生物活性易受影響且纖維素降解和單糖轉化所需酶、微生物適于不同反應條件,不能很好耦合。相比,化學法具有原料利用率高、反應時間短、催化劑構成簡單、沒有嚴格反應條件限制等優(yōu)點,但為高溫、高壓過程,對設備要求高。效分析生物質直接燃燒熱效率很低,只有1%左右,而將它們轉化成氣體或液體燃料(甲烷、氫氣、乙醇、丁醇、柴油等)熱效率可達3%以上,緩解了人類面臨的資源、能源、環(huán)境等一系列問題。
